Bambi is the fifth classic feature-length animated film produced by Walt Disney Productions based on Austrian writer and journalist Felix Zalten’s book Bambi. Bambi was nominated for an Oscar in three categories - Best Song ("Love Is A Song"), Best Music and Best Sound, however, did not receive any awards. In the year of the premiere, the cartoon failed at the box office, but with repeated screenings (from 1947 to 1948) began to rapidly gain popularity and soon became a cult.
